If you are a frequent surfer on the web, many time syou may have noticed that when you type a particular search query in Google Search Engine, instead of returning the traditional Search Engine Result Pages (SERP), it will directly return you the answer in the form a snippet which is above the rest of the results displayed. Now, this snippet is known as Google's Rich Answer Box.
Basically, Google's Rich Answer Box is way of providing direct answer to the user instead of giving him the list of top results. Now if you look at this aspects from an SEO's perspective, it is a major major oppertunity for you rank at the top by implementing some minor changes in your website content.
One intresting survey regarding this is that, the rich answer box is always made from one of top 10 SERPs, but it is only always from the first results. So even if you are not at the top, but have managed to snick in the top 10, rich answer box provides you with an oppertunity to rank at the top.
