What is deep linking ?

Deep linking refers to the link building process where the internal or product page is directly linked to the external domain. This helps to redirect traffic directly to the business or product page and generate more leads for your business.

A deep link is a hypertext link to a page on a Web site other than its home page. The "deep" refers to the depth of the page in a site's hierarchical structure of pages. Any page below the top page in the hierarchy (the home page) can thus be considered deep.

Deep linking is a part of search engines that many visitors appreciate because it makes discovering what they are looking for easier. Professionals in the field though, feel that deep linking is a problem, and while there are certainly arguments for both sides, it is eventually up to the particular website whether it wishes to be deep linked or not.

Deep linking is linking to the specific interior page or product on a Merchant's site that your visitor. Deep linking will help you increase your sales rates and enhance the experience of your website visitors. Deep linking from non-search sites and from misguided search engines can be prevented by some fancy server-side programming that checks whether a user has been to the appropriate higher-level page before entering the sensitive page.
