If you're not concerned about SEO, then I doubt it matters. However, I would check the situation Ken mentions in the post above. I haven't encountered that problem, but if others have, it's wise to check.

For SEO, I've read that dashes are better because Google treats "woo_hoo" as one word and "woo-hoo" as two words. (I'm not an SEO expert by any means--just relaying what I've read.) Here's an article that's typical of what I've seen on the topic:

The difference between a dash and a hyphen is that a hyphen is used to form compound words, and there is no space between the hyphen and the words either side, but a dash usually has a space both before it and after it. E.g:

Hyphen
The building will re-open in December.
This an award-winning book.
His name is Smithers-Jones.

Dash
I'm thinking of going to the pub - do you want to come?
