What has happened to my Laptop

What the hell has happened to my laptop since i updated Java this morning. My laptop has messed up already.
I've been receiving tons of security/scanner programs popping up, lots of ads all over the place that I never had before..
How to remove them

You should go to control panel, then programs, and then uninstall java. Also look for any unusual applications that might have installed and remove them. After that run an antivirus and malware program to get rid of anything harmful.
