What are the new technologies found in automobile industry?

I think the newest most efficient technology is Tesla's self-driving capability. It can drive its self and has some neat feature like autosteer and park seeking mode.
 
The automobile industry is always advancing at a rapid rate because car users/drivers demand it. Therefore, technology in the automobile industry will advance at the same fast pace because users/drivers demand that as well. These are advancements that I have encountered in the newest models of American cars: 1. The autonomous vehicle 2. Driver over-ride systems (auto-stop, etc.) 3. Keyless entry 4. Vehicle tracking 5. Active window displays (HUD--head up display technology) 6. Remote vehicle shut down 7. Active health monitoring 8. Reconfigurable body panels just to name a few.
