In SEO, heading or header tags are used to separate the heading and sub-heading of any content from the rest of the web page. There are 6 heading tags used in SEO in a top down hierarchy. Ranging from h1 to h6, header tags bring coherence in content along with relevancy and keyword consistency in the search results displayed on SERPs.

Header tags are an important factor in on-page SEO because they are used to communicate to the search engines and tell what your website is about. This starts with your h1 and works its way down in importance to the h2, h3 and so on.
The h1 tag should contain your targeted keywords, ones that closely relate to the page title and are relevant to your content. The h2 tag is a subheading and should contain similar keywords to your h1 tag.

There is rule to use heading tags. Only one H1 tag i a page as a SEO Aspect. find more from <a href="https://godigitally.in/">goDigitally</a>

HTML defines six levels of headings. A heading element implies all the font changes, paragraph breaks before and after, and any white space necessary to render the heading. The heading elements are H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6 with H1 being the highest (or most important) level and H6 the least. For example:

<H1>This is a top level heading</H1> Here is some text.
<H2>Second level heading</H2> Here is some more text.

Heading tags are the keywords that make up the heading and subheading of your website and thus represent the content of your website to the search engine. Due to its ever widening importance in SEO, one must be careful in choosing the right and most apt heading to your website and website content.
