Social signals and backlinks

Guys Ive read many articles on how to make back links the problem is the internet i so full of people all wanting back links ive run out of ideas. I run a graphic design website , i offer inforgraphics , but there are a million other people already doing that , what can i offer in return for back links ?

And social signals , i struggle with this especially on Facebook , You post a logo design or brchure you created and users go oh thats nice, its not pulling them to go like your facebook page. People just arent interested in graphic design in general any advice?
