What mobile platform social media should we use for marketing purposes? There is whatsapp but does it have the same effect as facebook and twitter? Those ones can help to boost google rankings, but what about the various social media apps for mobile phones :confused:

I think if want to use Whats App for marketing purposes than it gives you not as good benefits as Facebook and Twitter. Because Twitter and Facebook is damn good for than people use whatsapp only to satisfied their GD and chatting purposes. :)
 
As I think about the trends and popularity, it headed towards the big three. I'll recommend Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Technically, social networking platforms are designed to let people shares updates, photos, events and promotional ads. Often times, it leads to new discoveries, stories, services and products.
 
I agree with rallystone. Focus on the big 3. You could also try Youtube. Imo, it doesn't make sense targetting Whatsapp. That's a chat service and as a customer, I wouldn't want a brand messaging me on Whatsapp. Takes the privacy away. Sms's are okay if you've asked for their nos and permission.
 
getting social via mobile phones is very much in today life and one of the best idea of getting fully social on all three social accounts i.e. facebok,twitter and linkedIn getting logged in only on one site you can get updates of all three sites all together and hence can share your feelings just by typing here and gets updated on all three sites,the name of the app is HelloOye.you can download this game from google play store.i have tried it is amazing.

Now this is really for people who have got craze about social sites because this is the latest technology in clocks with this new brand Coolest Clock, it is as good as it can get because apart from time now users would be able to show their FB status, latest tweets, or even the latest news from different sources (CNN, ESPN, etc.). These can be organized also as "update intervals" and show updated content at regular intervals.
