SEO For Bing?

Do you guys know if there is any thing different SEO professionals need to do if they want to bring their websites on the top of bing search engine. I am aware of SEO and most of the literature found on SEO blogs are only applicable for Google. Any ideas on this topic ?

Well you can follow Bing webmaster guidelines available at

to get good rankings in the Bing search results. You can also pick up a good SEO book that explains the SEO process in detail and highlights how to rank well in a majority of search engines.

Bing SEO is almost similar to Google SEO, both have the same key factor like PageRank and link consideration both hold a lot of weight , Both offer local results for users , Both engines offer paid results , Both use domain name as a factor for ranking etc.. but there some difference also Google like Forums Activities but Bing don't , Google dislikes Flash but Bing gives importance to flash page etc..

You don't need to optimize specially for Bing. Optimizing the site for Google is enough as other search engines almost has the same protocols and moreover traffic from Google search is going to be higher than any other search engine. So its better to concentrate only on Google search optimization.
