I have heard many of the people talking about this. I dunno this. Can anyone tell me ? Are their any benefits of this ?

I've never encountered this security code. However, once when I was visiting my grandmother's house, I used her computer to access my Facebook account and they made me verify my account by identifying various friends as they did not recognize the IP of that computer. I'm very happy there are so many good security safeguards in place to protect my Facebook account as I would not want it to be easily stolen.
