Pros and cons of remote-first companies

Hi! Recently I’ve been thinking about getting a job with a remote work format, and here’s what’s bothering me. On one hand, it’s a great opportunity to work from anywhere in the world, but on the other hand, do these companies have any downsides? For example, I’ve heard it can be difficult to build relationships with colleagues when you don’t see them in person. Has anyone here worked in such companies? How was your experience? What are the pros and cons you’ve noticed?

Hi! I’ve been working in a remote company for a couple of years, and I can say that there are definitely a lot of advantages. You can work from anywhere, and there’s no need to waste time commuting. But there are also some things to consider, such as the challenge of maintaining a clear separation between work and personal life. As for working with international teams, a service like a remote employer of record can help. It helps companies comply with local laws and manage a global team effectively. It really helps avoid a lot of administrative issues.

Interesting topic! I once worked at a company with a remote model, and the most important thing, in my opinion, is responsibility. It’s often hard to organize your time, especially if the work isn’t tied to specific hours. On the other hand, if you’re disciplined, it’s super convenient. The only thing I noticed is the lack of interaction with colleagues in person, which affects the atmosphere.
