Linux Ubuntu Smartphone

I have heard the news that there will be Smartphones now available soon which will have Ubuntu distribution of Linux operating system in them. Do any body on this forum know when will these Linux phones be available in the market and which cell phone makers are making the hardware which will be running Linux operating system.

Also do you thing that a new phone with a new operating system will be able to penetrate already competitive market of cell phones. What will be the biggest competitor of this Ubuntu Linux smart phone. Also considering that the Linux operating system is usually free or less costly are we going to see a pricing battle now in the smart phones market.
