keyword density

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

Keyword density tells the usage of keywords in a particular blog, article or website. It helps Google to crawl a website and to rank its keywords accordingly. The rate of keyword density would be around 2% to 3% and further it depends on the length of the blog, article or website you are writing. Search engine factors must be viewed while writing a content as it could help you to promote it easily.

Keyword density is the percentage of times that a keyword or a phrase appears on the web page as compared to the total number of words on the page. It is a vital part of SEO as too low of keyword density can lead to have little significance to your search engine ranking. At the same time, having too high keyword density may get you penalized for “keyword stuffing” by the search engines. So it is essential to get optimized keyword density of 1%-3%.
Keyword Density = (Nkr / Tkn) x 100
Where: Density = your keyword density
Nkr = how many times you repeated a specific keyword
Tkn = total words in the analyzed text

In the late 1990s, which was the early days of search engines, keyword density was an important factor in how a page was ranked. However, as webmasters discovered this and the implementation of optimum keyword density became widespread, it became a minor factor in the rankings. Search engines began giving priority to other factors that are beyond the direct control of webmasters. Today, the overuse of keywords, a practice called keyword stuffing, will cause a web page to be penalized.

Many SEO experts consider the optimum keyword density to be 1 to 3 percent. Using a keyword more than that could be considered search spam. The formula to calculate your keyword density on a web page for SEO purposes is (Nkr / Tkn) * 100, where Nkr is how many times you repeated a specific keyword and Tkn the total words in the analyzed text. This will result in a keyword density value. When calculating keyword density, be sure to ignore html tags and other embedded tags which will not actually appear in the text of the page once it is published.

The keyword density on your website is one of the fastest and simplest ways to increase your site's visibility in the search engine results pages. To better explain this reasoning, we will refer to a "keyword" as a word that your typical web surfer will input in the search box when searching for specific information about a product or service.

in my opinion, keyword density should be 2-3%. This is good for seo.
If you exceed this figure, it may be difficult to seo because google see as spamming.
