At some point, I believe it still does..
However, just to divert people's attention from it, it is better for search engines to keep it themselves.
Just my opinion though..

Page rank is of no importance today as Google has stopped updating their page rank algorithm since the past couple of years. They are more concentrated in building their search engine ranking page properly and removing spam websites from their search results.

It's like an indicator, not sole criteria to measure a site's rankings or popularity.

Yes page rank is still important in SEO as it tells us how legitimate a website is.

Google has not updated page rank in a while now. It will likely be obsolete very soon. I would go by Moz's domain/page authority instead.

Well now there is no PAGE RANK anymore.. Domain Authority (DA) is important in SEO now.
