Http to Https

My website have almost 1K back links and is ranking on all keywords but now company want to shift from http to https ... What would be the result ... My website ranking would decrease ?

Use ssl certificate to get https to your website url.....

Buy an SSL certificate or might be your ranking will fluctuate but after sometime it will be on track, but make sure the redirection must be properly applicable or there should be no issues with the redirection.

Website having HTTPS in their domain are more priorities by Google.

If 2 websites are ready to rank at 1st position in Google than Google will give priority to site having https in domain.

Two simple steps and you will redirect all http web pages to https secure webpage.

1) Purchase SSL certificate for your domain name or use free Let's Encrypt - Free SSL/TLS Certificates
2) Set redirect in htaccess file to redirect traffic from http to https by using code mentioned in a BLOG

If you set redirect in htaccess after you buy and put SSL Certificate on your domain, it won't be a dramatic problem.
