HTML and XHTML?

XHTML is almost similar to HTML (HyperText Markup Language), but there are so many minor variations. XHTML means the Extensible HyperText Markup Language. It is a combination of HTML and XML, and is seen as the fundamental system of the site today. XHTML is supported by almost all browsers today and in the very near future, it will completely replace HTML system.
 
HTML or HyperText Markup Language is the main markup language for creating web pages and other information that can be displayed in a web browser where XHTML (Extensible HyperText Markup Language) is a family of XML markup languages that mirror or extend versions of the widely used Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), the language in which web pages are written.
HTML is Developed by W3C & WHATWG and XHTML IS developed by World Wide Web Consortium
