Actually 404 error shows server has not contains that special page for such website which you search. Sometimes it happens with website when there is any problem in server. But all the website having a page 404 for those search which is not related to their niche. So from now if you see 404 error at any website it means you search something wrong at website.

You have to 301 redirect all not found webpages to homepage to fix this errors.
