DevOps (a portmanteau of "development" and "operations") is a set of practices and tools designed to improve an organization's ability to deliver applications and services more quickly than traditional software development methods. This speed allows businesses, including those working with a DevOps service provider, to better serve their consumers and compete in the market.
Simply put, DevOps is about breaking down traditional silos between development and operations teams. In a DevOps model, development and operations teams collaborate throughout the software application life cycle, from creation and testing to deployment and operation.
