Hi,

Can anyone give share tips on the best way to monetize a blog at blogger ? Which options do you find to be the most effective ? How do you strike a balance between placing enough monetized items on your blog while at the same time maintaining an aesthetically pleasing site ? Thanks ahead of time !

I remember that Blogger has a built-in Google Adsense widget which displays ads on your Blogger without going through all the progress of editing the code etc.
Give it a try.

As rightly suggested by DarkRepulser, you can go for inbuilt Google Adsense, it is very good and efficient method to monetize.
Registration and getting ads on blog may take some time though! ;)

Moreover, if you can go for Smowtion.com, they have very nice tracking and ad pricing system!

Adsense will pay the most out of all the other options. If you are looking for an alternative, however, you can just focus on affiliate marketing some digital products for Clickbank or Amazon. You may also build up your reputation in your niche enough for people to pay you for articles, reviews and links, but this option can take years to build, the good thing about it is that it is all worth it when it does pay off.

If you are into affiliate marketing then try just promoting links of a product in your website. Links don't seem to make your site look bad to your readers and it should stay as if its just a link in an article. If you just arrange your page so that it won't have no empty spaces in any sides.

Yes Blogger makes it easy to add Adsense. You can edit it in your layout - go to the post section and edit post body and there is an option to add the Adsense to the bottom of the first 3 posts. You can also add a widget on the side bar for Adsense, it automatically adds the code for the widget for you. Do be careful putting too many ads on your site tho. Google wants to see more content above the fold then ads and it was penalizing people who had too many ads on the top of your site. You can add an ad block to the top (or a banner of some sort), but make sure that you have more content then ads at the top of your site.

You can also set up a page called "Advertise with us" as your site goes explaining to your visitors how they can advertise with you. This may not be a big success in the beginning, but as you grow your advertisers will start to come.

Adsense is usually the best way to monetize a Blogger blog, although this can differ depending on your niche. If you have something very specialized you may do better with Clickbank or Amazon, but you should still keep Adsense on there for the extra income it will bring in.

You can go for the inbuilt adsense widget. Before registering with Adsense assure that your blog has quality content and decent traffic. Always remember that getting approval from Adsense is not an easy task. After getting approval don't try to cheat them because it might finally ends in the banning.

I have tried to monetize my blogs at Blogger by Adsense Ads from Google, posting banners and widgets at the sidebar by being an affiliate to Amazon. Google Adsense is not as lucrative for individual publishers as before so i don't rely much on that anymore.

Remember to only monetize once the blog is going a long at a nice pace and you have some followers. That way you know your blog is worth reading and you might actually make some money from it. If you just monetize straight away people will probably get put off from reading your posts.

You can monetize your blogger in a variety of ways. The most popular is adsense which has its' own widget for you to use. You can also look into pop under ads and paid per click links.
