How to make A website my home page?

I wanted to make google my home page.The home page is the one which opens automatically as you open the browser. Where would i find this button or setting so that i make this my homepage and later be able to change it as well ?

If you are using Firefox go to options, then general. After doing the previous, you should see something like, "when Firefox starts". If it's something else that is there, change it to "Show my home page". Then fill the text area(Home Page) below, with the url of your desired homepage.

Even if you are using other browsers, the above should be somehow similar to setting up homepage on them.
