When we search for the name of any website without www. and extension like dot com or any other then if website appears in search then its not penalised nor banned and if we don’t find it then it may be penalised or may be banned.
It depends on some factors. For instance, a brand new site may take longer to get indexed at all in search results. Also, depending on how unique or general the company name and url may be, it can make a difference. For instance, we have a company LimoTrac and it's web address is www.limotrac.com, so the unique spelling will help it come up without as much competition when searching the company or web address. If the company name was more general like just Limo Service, that term is searched way more often and more companies optimize their websites for it. Thus, it may be buried deeper in the search results so you just have to hunt for it harder if a new site or optimize the site over time to get seen. If you own the site, you can use Google's webmaster tools to see if there are any manual actions taken against your site (does not show all bans against a site however) and can also use the tools to help index your site faster by force crawling it and adding a sitemap.
