Argo tells the story of a life or death covert operation to rescue six American diplomats hiding in the Canadian ambassador’s home in Tehran during the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis. Ben Affleck plays the role of Tony Mendez and cooks up a fake movie with the help of Canadian film makers. Film shows how New Zealand didn’t help the six American diplomats. However, countries like Sweden, Britain, Canada and New Zealand all helped them to escape. Argo gives an anti Iranian message. And the political talks between Iran and America have declined so they manipulate the audience in such a way that when a drastic change happens the masses agree with the steps taken by the government.
