How many links should you build per day?

I don't think there might be any limitation for building backlink to your website per day. But doing too much in a day can make you spammer in the eyes of Google or any search engine.
Always focus on building Quality backlinks, not quantity. The more quality backlinks you have, the better result it will deliver.

There is no limit in creating links, you can build as many links as possible that helps increase traffic and raise rank for your site.
 
There is no limitation on link building per day as long as you build quality backlinks using good content and from relevant webpages. More backlinks will help to build your domain trust and also rank keywords higher in search engines.
 
If you're building quality one, then the more the better. If you're building trash/junk link, then 0 is enough. Just consider search engine as a natural user that surfing a lot. When it see your link a lot out there, it will be attracted. What will it "think" when it follow the link in a Tropical forest post, then it come to an online shop sell swimsuit ? Doesn't make sense, junk link, don't care...
