How do i take snapshots on my phone?

I have seen many of my friends posting snapshots about different things they do on their mobile. I also wanted to post stuff on Facebook but couldn't find out how to do that. Help me please
 
What phone are you using? If it is an iPhone that you have, then simply press the lock + home button at the same time. :)
 
It all depends on the phone itself. For my phone (Atrix HD), you have to press both the lock and volume down keys and hold them for a couple seconds. Like Soku47 stated above, the iPhone has you hold the lock and home buttons for a few seconds. Hope you figure it out! :)
 
Like others already wrote, it depends on the kind of mobile device you use. I use a Blackberry which I do take screenshots but I downloaded an external app for the purpose. Examples of apps that do this on Blackberries are screen grabber and screen muncher.

it depends on your device.i am using samsung(C2) phone and i press lock + home button at the same time to get screenshot.
