My point was is that the titles as well as the H1s should be always consistent. Currently in a Google Webmaster Help thread the webmasters and other people asking if the title and the H1 tags should be the same or identical. The simple answer will be the term "consistent" is not equal to "identical" or the same and usually with Google News you always want to maintain them almost similar in each other but with practical Google internet search, by having them related is fine. Citing an example would be helpful.
