Google will be offering incentives to programmers and developers who find and fix a security bug in current open source software's . Although the scope is limited right now and is limited to only few services but Google says it plans to extend this program and the reward will range from 500 to about 3000 dollars.

Google think that this may provoke and encourage developers who use their time to fix the issues for open source projects.

It's a shame you've got to fix the bugs too. I'm pretty good at finding bugs and I would love to beta test Google software, but I have no way of fixing the issue.

The open source movement is a broad-reaching movement of individuals who support the use of open source licences for some or all software.Google said this week that it plans to reward developers for developing proactive security improvements for some of the most widely used open-source software programs.
