Freelancing sites are good options to build your profile, add skill, browse projects according to your skill, bid for a project and get hired to make good amount of money.

Guru, Odesk and Freelancer are top freelancing sites and favorite ones of Freelancers.
 
I agree. Those are the top freelancing sites, however I prefer oDesk out of all of them because even though Freelancer also gives great service, I've heard a lot of horror stories about employers there. Just added advice for ones who are starting out, be extra careful and research a bit before getting into it, read up on some members' experiences so you know how to go about it and what to avoid. Great share, thanks!
