Error Establishing a Database Connection

It was so strange, when I was landed on my site then I was shocked.
Today morning, when I landed on my site then I found an error showing on my site i.e. " Error Establishing a Database Connection ".
I don't know what is happening here, I am also unable to enter in the admin panel.
Whenever I used to land on " Admin Login Area " then same error occurs saying,
" This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could meann your host's database server is down.

• Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
• Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
• Are you sure that the database server is running?

These errors I am getting on regular basis on my site.
Please help me so that I can solve this issue on my WordPress blog. Thanks in Advance

You should check your data sql, may be it was deleted automatically (when use VPS, i have been)
