Does nicotine affect vape flavor?

Nicotine does have a flavor of its own — most vapers describe it as bitter and peppery — and, naturally, it is more pronounced in e-liquids with higher nicotine content. To counteract the intense taste of nicotine, some e-liquids are carefully balanced so that the actual flavor of the e-liquid is not overshadowed.

Free-base vape juices tend to be affected more strongly by the nicotine level compared to nic salts — and you will definitely feel a harsher throat hit as you get higher up in nicotine concentration. Nic salts, on the other hand, deliver high nicotine levels with a smoother throat hit, which allows for concentrations of up to 50 mg/ml.

On the other hand, ex-smokers who vape zero nic e-liquid may often find the experience unsatisfying as the vape would be lacking a throat hit. In order to mimic this effect, some zero level vape juices use additives that can replicate the effect of nicotine.

Hmm never noticed that .. But I must confess I excluded nicotine from my life, even vaping devices which suppose even the smallest %% of it. I am all into dry herb vaping, by the way it is rather cheap, the battery evolve twist 2 is only 10$ for example.
