Does anyone notice a difference between 1080p and 720p on Phones?

I have the HTC One X with 720p. I decided to buy a 720p phone because I knew that there were hardly any differences between 720p and 1080p except for the price obviously. Does anyone else recognize differences between these 2 High Definition features?

I can only guess that the main different between the phones of different resolutions would be that the ones with high resolutions will be better. In this case the difference will be that the one with 1080 p will be better than the other one.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is full HD while the Iphone 5 isn't, when I put it alongside the sister-in-laws Iphone my Samsung has a much clearer and colourful picture. So you can definitely tell the difference. Strange how Apple lemming followers don't realise they are paying well over the odds for old tech.

It probably heavily depends on the type of phone you have. I know my iPhone displays both very clear. I watch youtube videos on it all the time and I personally prefer the 1080p, because to me it is a little bit more crisp than the 720p. A lot of videos don't have the HD option enabled though, so sometimes I have to stick with the 720, but its never a huge noticeable difference.

I do notice a significant difference between the two resolutions. This probably mainly because I have a pretty huge 5,3 inch phone so the PPi (Pixels per inch) matters.
On smaller phones I prefer 720p because it adds a little bit to the performance of the phone.
