Do external links help SEO?

Hi everyone,

Some sites like Wikipedia getting top position on search engines. What happen if I set the external links from high PR into my article.

While they are having tons of external links, why don't they affect to SEO?

I don't get it, a little bit confusing. Can you enlighten me? And maybe I can help you..

Having some links bringing up is fine, however having an excessive number of outbound links can disturb from the point of view of your perusers. Attempt to focus more on inner linking and link out to just to a few sites that are pertinent to your page.
