Difference between pay per click and search engine optimization?

PPC (pay-per click) is a type of advertisement in which one(generally a webmaster of some sorts) is paid per click to advertise; examples of this are Google AdSense or Infolinks. PPC can also refer to you buying ad space somewhere like Google Adwords, or Bing Ads..

SEO (search engine optimization) is the act of actually optimizing websites to rank well for specific targeted keywords when that specific phrase is searched for.. There are a lot of steps to take when properly optimizing a site, both off and on-page.

I hope that helps!

Greetings,

SEO means that you want to rank your site in a favorable position whenever someone uses a Search Engine.
PPC is instead the amount of money that you spend whenever someone clicks on your ADS.

Pay-per-click is just a pricing model used when buying ads. It can be done when buying search/text, display, mobile, video, or pretty much any other kinds of ads.

SEO is search engine optimization and is ranking higher for 'organic' rankings.

The main difference between Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free while traffic generated from PPC is not free (as the name implies you have to pay a cost per click).

1. In SEO you can get first page positions if your site is enhanced for internet searchers where as you can get your promotion on the principal page by paying a higher expense for each snap (CPC)

2. Expense of SEO is roundabout. You can't pay to get to the main page yet you may need to pay for SEO administrations in the event that you can't do SEO yourself where as you pay just when individuals click on your advertisement. You can utilize the Google watchword instrument to compute the amount you can pay.

3. Natural activity is persistent the length of you are positioning in one of the top positions where as PPC advertisements can get more snaps however this implies you pay more.

1. SEO: You can get first page positions if your web site is optimized for search engines

PPC: You can get your ad on the first page by paying a higher cost per click (CPC)

2. SEO: Cost of SEO is indirect. You cannot pay to get to the first page but you may have to pay for SEO services if you cannot do SEO yourself.

PPC: You pay only when people click on your ad. You can use the Google keyword tool to calculate how much you can pay.

3. SEO: Organic traffic is continuous as long as you are ranking in one of the top positions.

PPC:
PPC ads can get more clicks but this means that you pay more.

4. SEO: SEO traffic is better than other forms of traffic (i.e. social media) but in terms of conversion is not as good as PPC traffic.

PPC:
Highly optimized keywords will generate more conversions but will cost more

PPC is a paid side of advertisement that a advertiser has to pay some amount for every click on their ads. While search engine optimization is a process in which you rank your website in the organic results of search engines.
