Difference between Indexing and Crawling..??

Indexing - If a webpage is included in a search engine’s index of the web.
Crawling - Describing what a search engine spider does to a website to gather the relevant data used to rank the website for the search engine.
 
Crawling means SE has found your website through directories or any other sources.
Indexing means placing that webpage in their database so that when anybody search related page will be shown.
