Difference b/w dedicate hosting and other hosting?????????

Plz tell me how dedicate hosting are different from other hosting and which hosting is best for any website????????:rolleyes:

Hosting is a service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible through out the world...There are many types of hosting but the most important are shared and dedicated hosting.

In Dedicated hosting the owner is connected to a unique server.Dedicated hosting the site owners are responsible for managing and installing the server software,security updates etc.It allows heavy traffic to the site.Risk in dedicated hosting is less as compared to shared hosting..

Shared web hosting, is a place where all the resources are shared among several other sites, being hosted on the same server space. The resources which are shared are RAM, CPU and Disk Space.The positive part is that this is the cheapest of all the 3 types of hosting plans, however, the negative point is that, when there is a huge traffic on a website being shared in the same space, your site will also get affected and performance will become slow.

So i recommended dedicated hosting as it is safe and secure...I have a website of my own and my service provider is Thewebpole.com where both shared and dedicated hosting are offered by them...
 
A dedicated server is a server used for hosting a website only to one user. But other hosting services hosts multiple websites in the same server.

A dedicated hosting service plan means that our website is the only site hosted on the server. Other hosting services hosts other sites along with our website on the same server.

There is no limitations on the amount of server space available for dedicated hosting, but in other hosting services it is limited for each customer.

In the case of security, it is our responsibility to secure a dedicated server while in other hosting services, the hosting company installs firewalls and security applications for protection.

Dedicated server is basically for bigger sites which are only use by the one who purchase it while with other types you might have to share servers or such stuff. With the many hosting plans available it is quiet confusing to decide which one to choose.
In case if dedicated hosting the host has full control over the environment. He can do any kind of change or use any resource without seeking permission. But in case of shared hosting plan many other websites also reside there and you have to take permission to make any change.

Dedicated hosting is better than shared hosting as the user gets full freedom here. But dedicated hosting must not be chosen for small business as it is bit costlier then shared hosting.
