Diet programs often say you should eat more slowly. Does this really help with weight loss?

It can help since more time is allowed to digest the food which in turn can allow your stomach to notify your brain that it's full. In other words, eating mor slowly can help avoid overeating and avoid taking in too many calories. What I do to help is not only eat more slowly but drink a glass of water before eating lunch and dinner.
