No link building strategy is fail safe, and each and every link is hard to achieve. It is important to note that there are spammy forums just like spammy directories, and it is good to avoid links from such forums.
Besides if people start posting worthless contents and focus solely on gaining easy one way link from forums, this might slowly reduce the over all value of the forum and might even result in a forum's ultimate failure on Google (ranking). So it is important to provided detailed answers with some research, leave good information for fellow readers to ensure both your website and the forum are kept in good shape.
