Custom build PC or pre-made ones?

You can save some money by buying the parts individually and then putting them together yourself. Get a tower case, motherboard, PSU, graphics card, HDDs etc.. and then you can have a high performance PC for the price of a regular pre-made one.

Has anyone tried this?
 
all the computers I have used in the past were Assembled to suite custom needs and yes, I saved thousands of Rupees (Indian Currency) doing this. Personally, I feel this is the best deal that anyone can get if - he/she knows what s/he wants and then, compare the costs of the Assembled computers with the Branded ones of the same configuration.
