As and when you post some fresh content on your website , search engine crawlers/spiders make a visit and fetch data. This process is known as crawling.
When crawling is done and crawlers find no problem with the content like keyword stuffing, cloaking, link farming, canonical tags etc they sends your website to search engine and there it is indexed into their database.This process is known as indexing.
