China Bans Windows 8 On Government Computers

Can some body confirm if this news is true or not as one of my friend in China just told me that China have banned use of Windows 8 on Government computers. If this is for real than I am afraid what operating they will be using in future.

Also from Microsoft point of view this may be a big blow so what would impact do you think will this Windows 8 Ban bring for Microsoft. Also one thing which I am wondering is that what will happen to the systems in which there is already Windows 8 installed. This move seems to be very strange specially to ban a product which is widely used all around the world.

That would be very tedious for worker to understand new operating system as it is harder for novice users to fully understand new operating system.

Good for them. Windows 8 is crap anyway, even 8.1 is not that great. Windows 7 is reliable for both home and enterprise so that is probably why China is sticking with it.
