Cheap and light laptop

A friend of mine is in search for a laptop which is cheap and also light weight. She is search for a laptop which she may carry easily and is easy to carry. Which laptop should she buy? Please don't forget that the laptop is not very expensive. Thankyou

Does she need a DVD drive? If not then i would recommend purchasing an ultrabook instead. They are thin, light, and perform just as fast as a regular laptop. If screen size is not an issue then you can try a netbook but i think they are slower than ultrabooks. Here is what an ultrabook looks like:

Agree with Kai, get an ultrabook if you can afford one. They're more expensive than cheaper laptops but they're very nice and slim/light and pretty fast. If not look at cheaper laptops by Asus and look for slim ones.

I think acer is very cheap and light laptop. if you have small buget approx 15k then you can go for with notebook laptop. Its mini and easy to carry.
