Broken Down Macs.. what to do with them!

I just wanted to let everyone know that ebay is alot better choice for your broken computers, especially MacBooks. Ive noticed that people will pay ridiculous amount of money for non working ( just for parts) MacBooks, in hopes of reselling them. Instead of paying apple $500 to repair my non responsive ( ie wont turn on) 5 year old macbook pro, I sold it on ebay for $700 for parts, and just coughed up the money for a brand new recent one. Much better choice!

Wow that's pretty impressive, $700 for a 5 year old broken computer. Instead of selling all our old Mac computers at my work (graphic design / commercial graphic business), we just donated them all and started over with new computers. I even talked them into getting me a PC instead :) It sounds like used Mac computers must hold their value pretty well, or at least the parts if you were able to make money on ebay like that. I've never been a Mac guy, but they definitely produce better quality parts / systems then say...HP.

That price is truly incredible for something that is broken. I guess Steve Jobs really knew what he was doing if his brand is selling at that price in the market even when it's 5 years old and broken. Great advice, thanks for sharing this with us. It's just another reason to buy Macs because if this is accurate then they must really have a high retail value. I mean think of what you could still sell it for if it were still working.

Wow, $700 for a broken MacBook. That is incredible. I'll probably destroy all my IDevices then, don't you think? No, but really that's a great profit from a 5 year old device.

xHysteria.
