Best ways to get people to read and interact on your wordpress blog

Where many blogs fail, is using reliable methods to get people to read and interact on their blogs. One of my personal favourite things about Wordpress, is how easy they make to get others involved in your blog. They have a feature that's built in called the Wordpress "reader" and through it you can search a tag and find blog posts with that tag, and without even visiting their blog you can "like" their post and comment on it. "Liking" other peoples posts on Wordpress and leaving thought-provoking comments on others blogs is one of the best and most reliable ways to gain an audience. As a test, when I was starting up my blog, I did not promote it. I simply used proper tagging on each of my posts, and made a point to like posts on similar niche blogs and comment on others posts. Through that method, I gained 15 comments and 27 people email subscribers to it in two days without promoting it at all.

What are some other reliable methods for starting up a blog, or gaining new readers.
 
To get more people to visit you blog is a real task after you make a good blog. Mostly people will follow your blog if you write informative and new posts about your subject. Put facebook like button on the post so that if a person like it chances are that his friends will also like it and you will get more people who will be reading your blog. For interaction comments should be keep open and moderated and answer. This way the people will know that you read their comments and they will engage in interaction with you and discuss their question and answers and other thoughts about your articles.

Another good idea is to introduce guest blogging on you post as this will give more people to write on you blog and your blog will be update more frequently with more readers and more engagement.

Guest blogging is a good idea! Do you have any ideas or good methods to go about opening up your blog to guest posts? Do you have a page that's open for people to submit, or do you make a post directing them to email their post to you? And also, other than giving them the recognition for their work, would you have any reward for them for writing the guest post for you?
 
sheepishwolf i have the idea and that is first you open and post it manually and once you trust that use you can give them priviliages to post. I think wordpress may have a plugin to do this sort of thing although their may be some thing in the setting too. You may be admin in you blog but i think you can create more users with the right only the right to post. I have not used it ever but it would be must if you explore.

From my point of view, sharing the content on social networks that you update on your wordpress blog can bring good amount of benefits. The only points we need to consider are, update the blog on regular basis, make sure your wordpress site loads fast because if the blog does not load fast, viewers usually don't like to wait for a long time.
 
If you really want people to engage with your wordpress content.. then Internal linking is the best way. You have to improve userflow of your blog with internal linking. When you write a new post, Keep in mind that your have to link your previous posts as much as you can. You can add a link with a curiosity. A perfectly Optimized page is the best example of this. If you clicked my blog link in this post, this is actually to create curiosity. You actually wanted to know what i mean by "Perfectly optimized page" and you clicked that. Hope this Helps.
