Benefits of using a wireless phone

What are the benefits i can get by using a wireless phone at home in contrast to the other phones? Which one of them does not contradict with my comfort and luxury . Which one is easier to use and handle?
 
When you say a wireless phone, I assume you mean a cordless phone, i.e. one you can walk around with like a mobile, but with a limited range. If so, I've used one for maybe 14 years or so, I like to move around, go out to the garden, pour myself a drink, etc. and I just couldn't cope with being tied to a cord, especially during a long conversation.
 
I think the benefits are obvious: you do not depend on a certain place, can move and talk easily from any point of the world. Moreover, wireless connection is usually quite affordable.
