There are multiple ways to promote your article, it depends on what kind of website it is on. Is it on a blog, or did you write it on a website like Bubblews? Either way, your best bet is to use SEO techniques to help gain publicity to your article. You can join numerous forums, and advertise the article link in your signature, you can guest post on blogs, and add on-topic and good comments and include your article link in the comment, you can advertise on social media networks, and ask some of your friends to read and share your articles. These are just a few effective techniques to help gain some traffic to your article.
 
There are several ways to promote your website. I am delineating some of them here -

1.) Blog Commenting - It's one of the easiest way to get some backlinks and some exposure for your website.

2.) Article marketing - You can submit your artcles to websites like Ezinearticles and other websites.

3.) Social media marketing -

4.) Search engine optimaization
 
The best way to promote our article is through blogs because this is the place where Google visit daily thus helps to get more traffic and improve PR of the site but the only thing we have to keep in mind that article content should be unique and genuine.

You are right ozadin. I too agree with all these. After doing all these we promote our article better way. Thanks mate for sharing these information.
 
Article promotion means writing or spinning an existing article and submit it to directories with the hope of promoting and driving traffic to your site. Most directories provide you with author resource box for your link to be placed in that box and not in the body of the article.
 
When I publish an article I will immediately share it on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest, and then I will blog comment on blogs that have CommentLuv so that the comments link to this article. :)
