Are we becoming way too dependent on Search Engines?

I'm just asking in general, the other day my friend opened Google in order to go to Quora, instead of typing Quora.com on the address bar. And we see the same thing for other sites too "Facebook Login", or Login facebook on Google, instead of directly using address bar to go to the respective website.

Does this mean we are becoming way too addicted or depended on Search Engines like Google?

Yes. For any simple doubts or queries we are not even thinking just googling it on the net. This makes our brain rest and we are loosing our thinking ability.This is definitely a bad habit which we must avoid.
