Other than Amazon and its 24 hour cookie does anyone know what a "typical" time frame is for a cookie on other sellers sites? Is there any industry standard? Is it usually a constant unless the user clears their cookies? The reason I ask is because I am tired of Amazon and their low payouts and would like to switch to say a Best Buy but their affiliate program does not state anywhere what I am looking for. Best Buy is only an example, I've noticed just about any and every seller has some sort of affiliate program.

An affiliate cookie is the same as a regular cookie, but instead of login information, it transfers information about your affiliate account to the site in question so that you can get credit for refferring a customer to that site in the case they decide to buy something.
