It can take some time for a parrot to adjust to a new home. When I got my cockatoo, I made sure to keep things calm and consistent. I don’t own a parrot myself, but I’ve heard that patience is key when they’re settling into a new environment. My friend’s bird was initially super shy, but after a few weeks, he became much more confident. They need time to feel safe and get used to their surroundings.
