My host does not back up for me so I have to do it myself. I back-up regularly and save it in a zip file to flash drives just in case my laptop dies. :)

Promoting is the only way, I promoted my videos through Facebook, Twitter and some other social media sites, that has got me a few hundred views.

I do not own a separate camera, I take all my pictures and videos with the camera on my HTC One phone. The quality is probably just as good. :)

Has anyone actually got it to work for them? I've tried many times and seemed to get banned very quickly from them. I don't bombard them with loads of links to my site either.

Basically you need to seek out the quality sites in your niche and get your links on them, I'm afraid I can't help you with finding them, but I can say that once you gather a selection of them then blog comment on them and try and get a guest post published on them. :)

I personally think people have just carried on the tradition from when they would be advised by desktop computers to shut down properly.

When I publish an article I will immediately share it on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest, and then I will blog comment on blogs that have CommentLuv so that the comments link to this article. :)

I check my emails the as soon as I log online and then I leave my email client open so that I don't have to keep checking, I just get alerted when new ones come in. This way I don't miss out on anything important, like advertising inquiries. :)

Personally I have never bothered with the site, when I first joined it was a CV type site, since then I've been told it has added groups and a few other things. I'd put it a lowly fifth behind Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.

I only play one game on Facebook and that is a pool game called 8 Ball Pool, I don't play it very often though as when I do I ifnd I play it a lot and it stops me from working. :)
