Can I extract only PDF, Excel, or Word attachments from Outlook MSG files instead of saving everything?

My MSG files contain many attachment types, including documents, images, logos, and signature files. I only need useful files like PDF, Excel, and Word documents. I want to avoid extracting unnecessary images so the output folder stays clean and easy to review.

That depends on the method you're using. One issue I ran into with MSG email archives was that every attachment got saved together. The folder ended up full of logos, signature images, and small files that I didn't actually need. Finding the important PDFs and spreadsheets afterward took more time than the extraction itself.
If you are working with a large number of MSG files and mainly need business documents, it helps to separate the attachment extraction process from the email review process. Mailvare Free MSG Attachment Extractor is useful when the goal is to pull attachments from MSG files without opening emails one by one. After extraction, it's much easier to sort and keep only the PDF, Excel or Word files you need.

Before running a large batch try it on a small set of emails and check the output folder first. The free demo can give you a good idea of whether it fits the way you're handling your MSG files.
