Hey everyone,
I recently came across some amazing WordPress projects where people build practical tools for users — like calculators and checkers — directly inside their websites. I’ve been experimenting with something similar myself.
For example, I created a UAE gratuity calculator using WordPress to help employees easily calculate their end-of-service benefits as per UAE labour law. It’s live here: https://gratuitycalculatordubaiuae.ae/
I used a combination of custom PHP functions and a lightweight form plugin to make it interactive without slowing down the site. It’s fully responsive and works well on mobile too.
I’d love to get some feedback from fellow WordPress developers:
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I’d love to get some feedback from fellow WordPress developers:
- What’s the best way to improve loading speed for calculator-based tools?
- Any plugin recommendations for integrating such calculators cleanly into a theme?
- And has anyone tried monetizing such utility-based websites with AdSense or affiliate programs?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
